Facts about pigment powder

  • Before you add the pigment powder to the paint, you first dissolve it in water.
  • Get creative and mix your own colors. With a little guts you can mix your unique and personal color palette. Have you found the color? Then write down the mixing ratio. This way you know exactly how to mix this color for the next time, or for a larger quantity. Prefer to play it safe? We have almost 100 colors in stock that you can also mix separately, so plenty of choice.
  • You can use our pigment powder when products are not available in the right color. You can then make the color of your dreams. You can think of products such as joint mortar, Epoxy, candle wax or clay.
  • Do you really want a shiny effect? Then choose our Metallic pigments. With these pigments you create a beautiful look on the wall or furniture.

How much do you need?

We have only tested the pigment powders on the products of our parent company Betonlook.nl. We use about 50 to 200 grams of pigments per kilo for our types of stucco. For our types of paint, this consumption is around 50 to 200 grams per litre. The amount depends on the depth of the shade you want. Please note: this consumption is lower with SP colours. These are very intense in color. Always add this in very small amounts.

So do you have an Epoxy, cement or other product that we do not have in our range. Always run a test before applying the color to the surface. Rather order too much than too little pigments to test a color. And no, now we don't think about our profit. If you have leftover pigments. You can return the number of grams you have left to us: if this is equal to the sales units that we have on our website: 50 grams, 100 grams, or whichever we have on the website. The condition is that the pigments return in their original state. So not mixed with other pigments.

What is the drying time?

The drying time depends on the product you mix the pigment powders with. Therefore read the manual of the product to which you have added the pigment powder.

What is the best way to store pigment powder?

If you keep pigment powder dry and closed, you will enjoy it for a long time. It does not dry out.

Other information

The pigment powders from pigmentshop.com are almost all 100% ecological and all vegan. So no animal products are processed.

We ship your order CO2 neutral with DHL. If you order before 12:00 on a working day, it will be shipped the same day. A package usually reaches a destination within the Benelux within 24-48 hours. Within Europe, the delivery time is generally between 24 and 96 hours. DHL delivers packages from Monday to Friday during office hours.

Do you have a package that weighs more than 30 kg? Then we will send it to you on a pallet. The delivery time may then differ slightly from the normal delivery time. Do you want to be guaranteed that a delivery will arrive at a certain time? Please always contact us to see which delivery times are available.

Help, there is something wrong with my package!

Have you received your order and is something missing from your package, or do you have damage to a product? Then we would like to ask you to contact us within 30 days. After this period we can no longer do anything for you. This would be a pity.

I ordered the wrong product. Can I return my order?

We have made a handy mnemonic for you. Does the product fall under customization? Then this product cannot be returned. Custom products are products that are delivered to you by color. Think of: Concrete look paint, Chalk paint, Exterior paint, or for example the Beton Ciré. Does the product not fall under customization? Then we will of course be happy to take it back. Products that do not fall under customization are: products that we have in stock as standard and to which nothing has been added. This includes: brushes, color samples, coatings and unused lime paint/clay plaster.

So if you have a product that is not custom-made, and you want to return it. Return these within 14 days and make sure that they are returned to us unopened and undamaged. You can choose with which carrier you return your order, the return costs are for your own account.

How do you return your order?

Please note: when returning your order, you are responsible for any damage or loss of the package. So make sure you keep your proof of shipment well and that you pack everything well and firmly!

What are the return conditions?

The product has not been used and the packaging is (if possible) undamaged. You can return the product within 14 days of receipt. As long as it's not custom. For color fans we use a return period of 90 days after receipt. Download the withdrawal form.
